OHPC PAYS DIVIDEND OF RS. 31,57,88,729/- TO GOVT. OF ODISHA FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR 2018-19.

Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Limited, a Gold Rated State PSU has paid Rs. 31,57,88,729/- as dividend for the financial year 2018-19 to the Govt. of Odisha. In the last Financial Year 2017-18 OHPC has also paid dividend of Rs.18,65,34,600/-. During the financial year 2018-19, the Corporation has earned a Post Tax Profit of Rs. 105.26 Crores, where as in last year 2017-18, it has earned a Post Tax Profit of Rs.62.17 Crores. The post tax profit of OHPC during the financial year 2018-19 has increased by 69.31% over the previous financial year 2017-18. During the Financial Year 2018-19, the Corporation generated Rs. 478.83 Crores by selling 5897.18 Million Units of energy, where as in last year 2017-18 OHPC has earned Rs.467.13 Crores by selling 5370.91 Million Units of energy. The Sale of Power during the financial year 2018-19 has increased by 9.80% over the last financial year 2017-18. The Cheque has been handed over to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Sj. Naveen Patnaik at the Lok Seva Bhavan by Sj. Dibya Sankar Mishra, Hon’ble Minister of Energy, Industry, MSME & Home, Govt. of Odisha in presence of Sri Bishnupada Sethi, IAS, Principal Secretary to Govt. of Odisha, Energy Department & Chairman-cum-Managing Director, OHPC Ltd, Sri Pravakar Mohanty, Director (Finance), Dr. Prabodh Kumar Mohanty, Director (HR) of OHPC Ltd. OHPC has been paying dividend regularly since last several years.
