OHPC Inter Unit Cricket Tournament-2023

The “OHPC Inter Unit Cricket Tournament-2023” has been successfully conducted at Mini Stadium, NAC, Balimela from 04.02.2023 to 07.02.2023. In the Tournament, total 07 (Seven) Teams from different Units i.e. Upper Kolab Hydro Electric Project, Bariniput , Upper Indravati Hydro Electric Project, Mukhiguda , Hirakud Hydro Electric Project, Burla , Rengali Hydro Electric Project, Rengali , Chiplima Hydro Electric Project, Chiplima ,Balimela Hydro Electric Project, Balimela Unit and Corporate Office, Bhubaneswar have participated. The Tournament was inaugurated on 04.02.2023 .In the Inaugural Session, Dr. Prabodh Ku. Mohanty, Director (HR), OHPC Ltd., Bhubaneswar had addressed the gatherings with his valued views as Chief Guest of the Tournament, while Sri Ashish Ku. Mohanty, Director (Operation), OHPC Ltd., Sri Akshaya Ku. Khemundu, OAS(SG), Sub-Collector, Malkangiri, Er. Chandra Sekhar Mishra, Chief Construction Engineer, Potteru Irrigation Project, Balimela, Sri T. Padmanava Dora, OAS(S), Tahasildar, Chitrakonda and Sri Krushna Chandra Rath, Executive Officer, NAC, Balimela, Sri Sanjaya Kumar Padhy, SGM(Elect.), BHEP, Balimela and Sri Kamakanta Patra, SGM(Elect.), UKHEP, Bariniput as Guest of Honour also addressed the gathering and encouraged the Players, Organizers, Volunteers of the Tournament. BHEP Cricket Team, Balimela and UIHEP Cricket Team, Mukhiguda had entered into the Final Match which was played on dtd. 07.02.2023 at 09:30 AM. The BHEP Cricket Team won the Final Match and awarded with the Winner’s Trophy while the UIHEP Cricket Team was awarded with the Runner’s Trophy. In the concluding session on dtd. 07.02.2023, Sri Maheswar Chandra Naik, OAS(SG), Additional District Magistrate, Malkangiri as Chief Guest had offered his valued advise to the gathering, Players and Organizers etc. while Dr. Prabodh Ku. Mohanty, Director (HR), OHPC Ltd., Sri Ashish Ku. Mohanty, Director (Operation), OHPC Ltd., Sri Sanjaya Kumar Padhy, SGM(Elect.), BHEP, Balimela, Sri Kamakanta Patra, SGM(Elect.), UKHEP, Bariniput and Sri Alexious Kispotta, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Chitrakonda addressed the gathering with their valued views in the session. The Winner’s Trophy was presented to the Team Captain and Players of BHEP Cricket Team by Sri Maheswar Chandra Naik, OAS(SG), Additional District Magistrate, Malkangiri while the Runner’s Trophy was presented to the Team Captain and Players of UIHEP Cricket Team by Dr. Prabodh Ku. Mohanty, Director (HR), OHPC Ltd., Bhubaneswar. Further, different trophies for Player of the Tournament, Man of the Match, Best Batsman, Best Bowler & Best Fielder of the Tournament were awarded to the concerned players in the concluding session. The Tournament ended with cheerful atmosphere. The musical programme was also organized and conducted by the Artists sponsored by M/s Seventh Avenue eventz Pvt. Ltd., Bhubaneswar in the evening hours of 06.02.2023 & 07.02.2023. The famous Local “DHEMSA” dance was also performed by the native ladies of Balimela in the evening of dtd. 07.02.2023. The employees with their family members and local public attended and enjoyed the said musical events.
