Approval of feasibility report, environment clearance, approval of Planning commission, administrative approval were obtained for this Project in the year 1981-82, 1983-84, 1984-85 and 1986-87 respectively as detailed below:

1. Feasibility report on Potteru Small Hydro Scheme was approved by Central Electricity Authority vide their letter No. 20127 Dated. 10.06.1981.
   
   
2. The scheme was cleared by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Wild Life, Government of India, vide their letter No.0-1/0/6/65/83. Dated 22.05.1983.
   
   
3. The Scheme was approved by the Planning Commissioning vide their letter No - 1/26 (5)1/83 Dated.03.07.1984 for an amount of Rs.546.00 lakhs.
   
   
4. Irrigation and Power Department, Government of Orissa accorded administrative approval vide their letter No.-MHP-17186 Dated 07.02.1987 for an amount of Rs.546.00 Lakhs.
