Power Channel connecting Upstream of the first fall and down stream of second
fall is under construction. Thereby the Power House - I has availed a gross
head of 12.190 Mts. Thus the Potteru Small Hydro 
Electric
Project is aimed at development of Power out of existing Canal drops causing
absolutely no environmental disorder and no displacement of the inhabitants.
Provision of 35 Kilometer length of 33 KV Line has been made from Power House - I to Balimela Power House and 11 Kilometer of 33 KV Line from Power House-I to Power House-II and Power House-II to Kalimela Sub-Station with two 33 KV Switchyards at Power House I & II for power evacuation. Normally the Power Evacuation will be done through Power House - I and Balimela line and in case of emergency Power evacuation can be done through Kalimela Sub-Station.
